I love this tweet from Mayumi on attending the Global CHS Exchange 2020 – it sums up the enthusiasm and inspiration that can come from connecting online. I was the MYT Programme Lead for the Opening Plenary, Key Note and Panel discussions and the final day of interactive exchange of ideas with break-out rooms, using the virtual whiteboard Jamboard along with engaging Key Note speeches to wrap up a positive 3 day conference.
This event for the CHS Alliance delivered the opportunity to help shape the future of accountable aid. Five years since the creation of the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS), they considered the challenges and opportunities for organisations committed to putting people first in these uncertain times and launched the Humanitarian Accountability Report (HAR) 2020 ‘Are we making aid work better for people affected by crisis?’
It was wonderful to see the different member organisations and attendees come together to focus on the purpose of the CHS Alliance and to clarify their goals.
