Welcome to my first video blog – my aim is to introduce myself and celebrate our amazing virtual events and embrace the recent move online.

Since the beginning of September I have programme managed and facilitated a different virtual event every week.  It has been amazingly interesting and exciting – I feel very proud to be working with so many different organisations with such fantastic goals such as eliminating neglected tropical disease or avoidable blindness and achieving accountable aid.

I have delivered these events with the wonderful MYT Events team, partnering with Maximise your time (MYT) to programme lead their high-level plenaries, webinars and a wide range of virrtual conferences and workshops.

I have been hugely inspired by how Janine Lancaster, Managing Director of Maximise Your Time has transformed her Event Management business, retrained her team and is offering highly professional, international conferences and events online.  I have worked with Janine on a freelance project basis since 2014, travelling the world, offering Conference Programme Management to a number of organisations working within International Health & Development and I continue to be actively involved in shaping her new business.  Prior to Covid-19 I was programme managing the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB)’s Global Assembly that was due to take place in Singapore in October 2020.  I was working closely with the IAPB Programme Co-Chairs to shape the Conference Programme planned for 1200+ delegates, 3 high-level plenaries, 40 sessions with over 250 speakers, a film festival and abstracts.  I have also programme managed the Neglected Tropical Disease NGO Network (NNN)’s annual conference for MYT since 2014 and love working with the wonderful NNN community.

Whilst I offer freelance Programme Management and Facilitation, I absolutely love working with the MYT team who offer end-to-end event management including Registration, Delegate Management, setting up the Virtual Conference Platform or Website, ‘onsite’ delievery of the event including technical hosting, rehearsals and onboarding.  The MYT Team are experienced event professionsals, technically versatile, creative thinkers who always deliver in a friendly and positive way.

The MYT projects are incredibly interesting, working with a wide range of NGOs and international organisations – with the move to virtual events I am getting more and more opportunities to use my languages which is fanastic!
